 I have to say the worse thing about shop class was using the wood lathe. You would arrive at school nice and clean and would have wood shop in a morning class, thereafter for the rest of the day you would have wood chips and wood dust in your hair and nose, your pockets, your pants cuffs, your socks, and a lot of other places. I sure do remember the wood lathe, but I still have the laminated nut bowl that I made in 7th grade. (RIP) Bill Mollers
