Abigail (Nabby) Adams Smith, daughter of John and Abigail Adams, lived with Col. William Smith, her husband, and her children in Eastchester in the late 1790s. John and Abigail visited when he was VP and President. Does anyone know if the house still stands, or if there is a monument or plaque where it stood? It wasn't a mansion but reportedly was a "substantial" house for its time. I don't remember it when I lived in Eastchester, but it might have been in private hands and not open to the public.
