In the mid-70's, my friend and I painted a window on Mill Road for Halloween - it was the window of 3-D cleaners, to be exact. We won 3rd place, and I still have my trophy up in my attic. As for the Ragamuffin parade, I marched in that many times. Some other posts talked about the EHS football games. Now those were great fun. I was in the marching band, and additionally, was the Eagle mascot (that head got heavy and hot, but it was SO worth it). Even as a young kid, I remember going with dad and various neighbors to the football games. I loved buying a cold, salty pretzel from older kids selling them out of laundry baskets. It was a very social, community activity, and I'm sorry to hear that things have changed. I currently live in a town that has huge community involvement in its football program, and it brings back such good memories of those EHS games in the mid to late 70's.
