 Anyone who grew up in the 50-60's will appreciate this new show on the AMC channel. My dad commuted to NYC everyday so the idea of separate worlds between NYC and suburbia stand out for me. Business all week then neighborhood barbeques on the weekend. The attention to detail is great. The clothes, the hairstyles, the decor of the homes. Takes place in NYC and Ossing, NY. There was one scene last week where the family was having a picnic and left all their garbage behind- I am sure we never did that-the scene was a little over the top, but other scenes have the women smoking during pregnancies, everyone smoking at work, drinking excessively then driving, etc. I guess that's how we really lived. The show is mostly about the affairs and infidelities of all the characters and the advertising profession, but cool to watch for the nostalgia!
