Mike walked outside of the barn, unexpecting to see a huge bear towering over and attacking his brother. "NO!!!" he shouted and ran toward the bear. he was not thinking straight, but ran, snatching the boy out from underneath the bear's reach. Mike ran inside his house, holding the now passed out Brock in his arms, and grabbed his gun. He ran back outside to where the bear stood, and took his aim. Mike suddenly hesitated. He could not take the life of another. He went back inside his house, and fumbled through the bag which held his rifle. "cmon..." he said impatiently, dropping bullets and pushing them to the side. He looked out the door, seeing the bear coming at him. Suddenly he found it. It was not a bullet, but a dart. One dart. he reloaded his gun with it as quickly as possible, then once again stood, raising his rifle. His aim had to be true he only had one chance. He looked into the target on his rifle at the grizzle charging him. She was now only a foot away. He aimed for her neck. He suddenly fired, then closed his eyes, not wanting to see if he had gotten her or not.
