Once Chrys had left, Brock had scooped up the tiny sleeping kitten and brought him into one of his empty stalls. he closed the door, then ran into his house and came back out with a bottle, filled with warm milk. He was about to go back into the stall and give it to the kitten when he heard Chrys scream. he put the bottle on the side of the stall and ran to see what had happened. he looked at the pile of leaves. "We should bury her or something." he went back into the barn, and once again returned, but with a shovel. a little ways behind the bush he dug a large hole for the mountain lion. After about 45 minutes it was complete. He brushed the leaves away, then stared for a moment. She was just lying there, almost as if she were sleeping. There was a small path of blood. It looked as if she had tried to carry herself back to her cub, but did not make it. Brock picked the moutain lion up, then as gentle as possible, put her in the hole. "Poor thing." he said quietly. He bagan to shovel the dirt over the lifeless body.
