Once Chrys and Brock had put out the fire, he walked back into the barn, hearing the kitten's screams. He took the bottle of warm milk off of the stall door, went in, then shut the door behind him. He looked around the stall and at first did not see the kitten, since she was curled up so tightly and tinily. He put the bottle down, then picked up the shivering kitten. He sat down in the corner putting her on his lap. "Its all right. I wont let anything hurt you. I promise. But i dont think your mommy is coming back either." he frowned slightly, stroking the innocent looking kitten. "You of course can stay here. There are big pastures to run and play in, and a warm bed right here for you. I'll even feed you." He picked up the bottle and offered it to the kitten.
