Subject: just curious

Who procrastinates like me and who doesn't.

started working on my tax returns Saturday- collection day, Sunday -sort day- Monday input data day. Tuesday mail day.

well - computer froze and crashed after all day of input so I'm back to the beginning of data -

My returns are all self employed income, between hubby and I we do 4 schedule Cs. So I tend to delay getting it done until I have no choice-

who amongst us is an organized soul who filed January 2, LOL and who like me is glad the post office stays open until midnight tonight ?

[> Our post office used to stay open late, with an evening party atmosphere - live music, radio remote broadcast & food - but no longer. Post office now closes at its regular time. They don't even add workers at the service windows today. So long lines of grumbling people. Crazy. We file an extension because my husband's employment is complex plus we have additional investments and a home-based graphic design business. Our daughter just received a refund of over $1,200. We were envious. Good Luck, Chris! -- Araninda, 09:53:31 04/15/14 Tue [1]

[> I used to do them myself, usually a few weeks ahead, but as the returns and schedules got more complicated, I tore out more and more hair. Four years ago, when DH was home and I was still working, I handed him the stuff and sent him over to H & R Block, right around the corner. What a relief! We got it all taken care of in late February. It was well worth the cost! -- Deemus, 16:41:32 04/16/14 Wed [1]

[> I'm always a do-it-myself early filer and already have my refund!! Helps to pay a few bills and that's the only reason I do it early. -- jenks, 06:46:34 04/27/14 Sun [1]
