Did you know that while you can trace some IP addresses, there are some you can't trace. I have heard that everytime you sign on with aol that your IP address will be different. with a dial up the IP address will change if that Internet Provider has more than 1 dial up number. So sometimes it is hard to trace someones IP because they use AOL or some other with more than one dial up number.

However if that person uses cox digital or something like that or SWBELL they will have the same IP address all the time. Once they post there name on one board you have them caught.

Again this is just what i heard. Not sure how true it is, but it does make sense. I tried to trace someone with an IP address on one of the other boards and I had a post with there name on it and their IP address but when they posted again it was different. They were using different names and posting I later found out after alot of research that the person was using aol which has about 20 different dial up IP's.
