sensitive ears twitch back and forth, betraying anxiety, where was mom? glancing whiff of strange scent caught from both sides, yet nothing could be seen... nothing...

but wait...

there two shadows slinking around, Mom! where are you? Come quick no sound made, though innate sense told clearly this was enemy, hesistant step taken forward, small head turning quickly from side to side, scared of the unknown fear...
