It's hard to tell. That's the whole thing behind this "science", it's not an exacting science where A+B will always equal C. It could be the same set of circumstances in the same set-up, and you'll get two different outcomes. Of course, some of the reasons that things might get worse during a blessing is that it would infuriate the lost spirit because it's simply trying to make contact. Another situation might be that demonic activity has manifested itself, and the blessing doesn't get rid of it, but makes it mad. There are really many reasons for many things happening. These are simply examples. That's why we do what we do. To try to contribute to the science as much as we can, and to look for answers.
