Farrah McD. called this morning and told us that the had won the contest to she Gwen S. and Akon in concert.
i am one of her teachers. She is in her last quarter of college to be a Radiographic Technologist. She is the most deserving person I know to win. She doesn't tell many that she is married with a little boy and her husband has terminal cancer. SHE KNOWS THAT HE IS GOING TO DIE AND SHE MUST HAVE A CAREER TO SUPPORT HER SON. She never asked for anything and always has a smile. The medicine her husband has to take is extremely expensive and i don't think that it is covered by insurance. i just wanted to let you and Kidd and all of the staff how wonderful a person she is. i listen to the show everyday. yesterdays topic about near death experience, i almost called in with mine. I have never been sick, i had 2 perfect c-sections and 7months after my last one (March 30, 2006) my husband rushed me to the hospital. I was out of it. I had been home for 2 days with flu like symptoms. When i got there they did my cat scan and ultrasound and rushed me straight to surgery. (we found out later that it was a perforated colon, a hole in by colon) the DR.s said i had maybe 2-3 hrs left and i would have died. after about 2 weeks i got transfered to Tulane in NO and had ileostomy done (poop in a bag) luckily it was just temporary. I spent 24 days in the hopsital and lost down to 88lbs. I'm perfectly fine now. We don't know what caused it. I don't have any bowel problems. ex:Chrone's, iritable bowel etc. I did use the experience as a teach tool and when my students come to me whining about minor problems i tell them to poop in a bag for a month and 1/2 and them come to me with there problems. I know that was too much info but it is funny when you are in the moment. Keep up the great job i love the show and everyone on it.

Sincerly,
Jessica Newton
