Hey Shannon, very sorry to hear about the breakup with your airquote friend. The days and sometimes weeks after a breakup are tough but I have an interesting way of dealing with it that I thought I'd share with you.

First of all, I try to deal with one problem at a time. This is difficult since I have to literally stop myself from worrying.

Secondly, I get determined. I take this single time as a way to work on myself. Sometimes it's out of spite as in "I want this person to look back at me someday and think they're missing out." It may be a bad incentive but undoubtedly it ends up benefitting me. I get so busy being concerned with myself that I get over the other person and since I'm feeling all new and approved the new significant other comes along.

I hope your week goes much better than the past weekend!
