Date Posted: 16:33:57 05/07/11 Sat Tetbury in Gloucestershire is a town with a history which goes back to roman times, but here we are mostly concerned with it's history during World War Two. Local Historian Mr Merlin Fraser is compiling a history of that period in the Tetbury area. It would be a great service to local history to be able to give voice to those who lived through that crucial part of our history in Tetbury, before time silences them for ever. So if you lived in Tetbury during the last war, or you have relatives who told you stories about those times, Mr Fraser would love to hear from you. Perhaps you know about the airfields that were in Tetbury then, or perhaps you were evacuated to that area to escape the bombings in a city. Whatever your involvement in the history of Tetbury during the second world war, your knowledge would be invaluable to our historian. If you want to know more about Tetbury during that interesting time follow the link that I am posting with this article, and remember, any information that you might hold about Tetbury in that time, may be really useful. http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Historical-Plea-for-Help [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
