You're problem is simple:
You lack the inherent ability to be absolutely, 100% cold-hearted.
You could have probably avoided some of your issues, especially with D2, if you just simply told her you were moving to KC and moving on...without her. When she showed objection, you tell her the simple, yet powerful statement that has become one of my favorites over the years:
"It is what it is, and that's the way it is."
Then, totally cut her off, and be sure to be especially nuetral if you have to speak with her. Women are only one thing during the first couple of weeks (month and a half) in a relationship: A stock. Nothing more, nothing less. You hold onto it, see if it is a true asset or just a liability, and you either buy into it more (advance the relationship) or you sell it and cut your losses.
I can already see a few of you saying that my thought process is cold-hearted and stupid. However, my friends and my brothers have followed the opposite, goody-goody knight in fucking shining armor mentality, and have all experienced terrible losses and extreme heartaches, only for them to come back to me and tell me I was right. Have I made mistakes and have landed psycho bitches? Yes. Was the way I let them go a tad cold and heartless? Yes. However, was it fucking effective (and truly karma free - so far *knock knock*).
If you were planning on breaking it off with D2 (even thinking about it) bringing them to your other friends and sister was the WORST move.
It's ok, nonetheless. If she becomes a problem, call me.
