The beans have to be soak and then be cook separate. The rice is steamed then added. The oats are just soak and cooked with the other stuff. Stir and add other ingredients until you think it looks good together. I did find out that small pasta balls will make it sticky. I cook that and add last after draining.
Sounds like your doing just fine, since there is no weight loss. Just keep up what your doing. Only Mom knows what's best. :)
