I purchased A Teacup Yorkie from PETS ARE PEOPLE TOO 2 months ago not knowing anything at all about these problems with pet store puppy horrors. The owner, Donna, was good, although a litle pushy and expensive, quite helpful. The place was extremely clean. The only problem that I could see was not knowing much about AKC etc. She repeated to me several times This puppy is reg. from Brazil. Again repeated as i was signing the papers. Went right over my head as I was falling deeper in love with the puppy I was holding and purchasing. When I got home with the puppy my neighbor explained what it all meant about AKC. So now I see i have a puppy reg. in Brazil. All and all, I am ok with this as I have no intentions of breeding or showing my baby girl. She is to tiny to subject her to that. I was sold a TEACUP YORKIE at a very reasonal price and my personal vet has told me she has not seen one this small in south florida. The only probs she has had is kennel cough in which Donna the owner of the store was very up front with me on that and has paid for all vet visits and had even asked if I would prefer to not purchase her due to that problem and that she would hold her for me at no cost until the cough was better. I chose to take her home. "Visa" (her new name)after 2 months still has a slight cough in which I now have seen she is allergic to any chicken ingredients and if not eaten, no cough. So all in all I have to say I HAVE NO PROBLEMS with PETS ARE PEOPLE TOO..... If you do not mind not having an AKC and having a BKC then they are fine. My husband and I adore this puppy and feel we got a fair price, treated well, and would purchase again from PETS ARE PEOPLE TOO. Oh, I do not believe that they are affiliated at all with the one down the street as Donna was not painting a pretty picture of them and telling us all about them being on the news etc. "VISA" is exactly what Donna said she would be. She is exactly 2 pounds at 6 months old.
