You can tell if a puppy is from a puppy mill if he (or she) is being sold through ANY pet store. Any place that takes credit cards or offers financing. If the mother (& father)is not on the premisis. If you don't have certification as to the health tests done on the parents PRIOR to breeding. Testing for everything that could possibly be passed from one generation to the next.
Eyes-CERF Foundation checks for cataracts & other blinding conditions
Heart-Cardiomyothpoy is highly heriditary & causes death
Elboes & hips- Displasia, need I say more...
Vonwildabrands- Bleeding disorder, blood doesn't clot, similar to hemophilia
And also Very important is temperment testing. Some dogs just shouldn't be bred! Period!
