AMEN MARIANE!!! I couldn't have said it better myself. People need to be EDUCATED on responsible pet aquisition. I am appalled by the people who are now looking for "designer breeds" which is JUST a fancy name for a "mixed breed". Dog breeds are created over many decades or centuries, no one can breed a Lab and a Poodle and consider it a new breed "Labradoodle", that's just a creative way for pet stores and irresponsible breeders to get away with making a bigger profit off the sale of mixed breed dogs. They used to claim they only sold "pure-bloded" dogs (another creative name for a purebred), but essentially is that they are simply treating dogs like a commodity and have total disregard for animal welfare.
