The will be open to all first round runner ups (theres no loosers at Max Impact) and if there is any non qualifiers then it will be determined on Sunday how the race will be run. Just one more reason to be at HMP

Kids age�s 1-5 are free 6-12 are 10.00 if you pre pay for kids 6 to 12 on a 2 day pass it is discounted to 10.00 which is 5.00. If you prepay a 1 day pass it is still 10.00!

With September 17th and 18th quickly approaching, the list of confirmed racers attending Maximum Impact is growing at a phenomenal rate. While it is true that two NHRA tracks in Houston are running events on the same days but only one, Houston Motorsports Park (HMP), will have the fastest on the planet competing for over $90,000 in total payout. With promised coverage by ESPN and several national magazines, Maximum Impact will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting and talked about events to ever hit the Houston racing scene. When you take a look at the list of confirmed participants it reads like the who�s who of drag racing.

In Pro Mod, what originally was set up as a quick four shootout is quickly growing to resemble a NHRA National Pro Mod event with 5 of the top eight in NHRA AMS/TLR points standings solidly confirmed to participate. With 5,000 up for grabs for the first 3 second, eighth mile pass and another $5,000 for the quickest 3 second pass, all participants are sure to have their tune-ups set on �kill.�

GETWORKCOMP.COM and AMS Staff Leasing owner, Dave Woods, is not only bringing his driver, Troy Critchley, but is also the proud Title Sponsor of the entire event. His driver, Troy Critchley, is currently ranked 4th in the NHRA AMS/TLR Pro Mod Cup Point Standings.

Local Houston favorite, Thomas �HEADHUNTER� Patterson who, besides holding the current track record at Houston Motorsports Park with a 4.03 @ 185mph, is currently ranked 6th in NHRA and will be looking to push the record to HMP�s first 3 second pass.

No Pro Mod event in Houston would be complete with out Houston bad boy, Frankie �MADMAN� Taylor present. From old school, street racer to 8th in NHRA Pro Mod, Frankie brings his �never lift� reputation and excitement to the race.

With two NHRA National Event wins and currently ranked 2nd in points, Josh Hernandez in Dr. Moon�s Rage stands a good chance at upsetting the Houston boys and taking home both bounties.

Now this is where it gets interesting�originally the four drivers listed above were the line up but now, your current Number One in NHRA points standings, Mike Ashley in his TORCO Mustang has confirmed he will be attending and bringing his five, that�s right, FIVE NHRA National event wins with him. Also, Chip King has confirmed that he will be debuting his �SuperBird� at Maximum Impact.

As if that wasn�t enough, the latest rumor is that there is a strong chance that Pro Mod legend and Speedtech owner, Shannon Jenkins, as well as Western Beef�s, Mike Castellana may join the fight and use Maximum Impact as a testing ground for the following week�s NHRA Nationals in Dallas.

Living up to its name, Maximum Impact also brings the most wicked Outlaw 10.5 race ever with $20,000 up for grabs to the winner. The long list of confirmed racers come from all over the USA and promises two full days of deep, screaming 4 second eighth mile passes at over 165 MPH. (8-19-2005) - Three Texans ended up at the top of the order after the first day of AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge presented by TLR qualifying at the ADRL RACENSUR.com Sunshine Drags, leading a large group of challengers in the biggest AMS/TLR event of the season to date.

Troy Critchley - from Wylie, Texas, by way of Australia - finished as the leader after two rounds of qualifying, running a 6.201 in his AMS Staff Leasing-sponsored '41 Willys. He enters Saturday's third and final qualifying session with a narrow edge over Spring, Texas' Thomas Patterson (6.208) and a three-hundredths advantage over No. 3 Joshua Hernandez of Conroe (6.232).

The Sunshine Drags' field of 26 drivers is the biggest of the 2005 season and the biggest the Pro Mod Challenge has seen in nearly a year (29 cars made at least one run at last season's Mac Tools U.S. Nationals).

Trailing the Texas trio in the Nos. 4 and 5 spots were teammates Mike Ashley (6.251) and Troy Coughlin (6.265), who between them have won six of the 10 Pro Mod Challenge events this season.

The eventual members of the qualified field will also receive valuable points in the FLOWMASTER Pro Mod CLASH competition, which is nearing its conclusion. Including the Sunshine Drags, just three events remain for drivers to earn points for the CLASH, an eight-car bonus event for the Pro Mod Challenge's most consistent qualifiers.
