I was incarcerated in this place in 1959. I was 12 yrs old.I had been in a remand home in Mitchum prior to this for a month . While on remand I was forced to scrub stairs . severely beaten almost every day by sadistic minders. The abuse meted out by the holy brothers,in St Vincent's was at times horrific.. I do not in all honesty recall ever doing anything wrong. But received harsh punishment none the less.Brother Cuthbert should be shot.
Sadist.Brother Abros with a cane was a man possessed.I did not receive any more education after being Sentenced.
I received a sentence of 3 years at 12yrs old for stealing chocolate from the tuck shop of Guildford cathedral.
