I was a pupil at St. Vincent�s Approved School in Dartfort, Kent in the years 1961-1964 and I have just had a book published in America about those experiences. The book is also available in England.
The book, �A Soccer Hooligan in America� is about an English lad who comes to America ostensibly to support his beloved England national football team in a friendly match with Team USA, but who falls hopelessly in love with America and decides to remain there.
I have very fond memories of our school and the twenty-five acre campus upon Temple Hill, and I remember well our headmaster Brother De Montfort and Mr. Stinson, head of the Painting & Decorating Department in which I worked. I remember also Brother Cuthbert, Brother Ambrose, Brother Arnold and Brother Francis, who I believe was in semi-retirement already, but who managed the tuck shop. (Needless to say, he was one of our favorites!)
