I have been in your situation. Best not to make a stand, just silently fume. This persons reason was little susie likes to win the medals and she won't have as good a chance in the hirer level. It helps her self esteem. So to help her self-esteem she thought it okay to forgo a lesson in sportsmanship and following the rules. Just walk away and know that you are doing the right thing
