I am just becoming familiar with GA/FLYR. Can you tell me what a Permit rider is? Also, would you consider this a good association for my 15 yr old daughter who is an experienced rider but just now seriously competing in speed and goat tying events. she has a reining horse that she is working on running speed on. Any advise is appreciated. Also, once you join is there a minimum of rodeos in the year that must be attended? We might not be able to begin till January 2011.
Thanks

My daughter, Michele, competed in the FL/GA association for 4 years and loved it. She was not competative the first 2 years but had a lot of fun and made a lot of new friends. She is now doing college rodeo at Tarleton State University on a scholarship. This is a very frindly and laid back association and you can ride in as few or as many rodeos as you like.

Hey,
I believe it would be a great assocation for any child. Greg, Brittani and I feel like we are family. The people that make up GFYRA our very loving and the kid's are very respectfull we are proud to be a part of ths association.

What is a permit rider? you may run on permit it is $25.00 per rodeo one weekend is two rodeo's so for the weekend it is $50.00 for permit. you run for money only but not for points only members run for points for year end finals.
