Scene opens at the HWA arena, just hours before Friday Fear. It opens in the cafe of the arena, and we see John Taylor and Sean Huntin eating at the cafe.
SH: You ready for tonight?
JT: As prepared as I'm going to be. I'm going to be facing two tough competitors, one that's nuts and the other that is with an old enemy.
SH: Some advice?
JT: You haven't wrestled in a year now, and your going to give me advice on a wrestling match?
SH: Yes, yes I am. Now shut up and listen. It might be best if you let those two go at each other and wear themselves out while you wait them out. That way you'll still be in a good enough condition to take them both out when they are all worn out. Easy prey, if you ask me.
JT: Which I wasen't. Look, what makes you think I wasn't think that same thing?
SH: Your just not the thinking type. That was the major difference between you and me. I thought out everything while you went with your hearts content.
JT: Yeah, and the problem with that was?
SH: You lost matches because of that. If you thought them out more, you would have won more championships and matches.
JT: Excuse me, but if I remember correctly, I'm the one with the better win/loss record here, not you.
SH: But who has more championships?
There is a moment of slience. Then the waitress coems by and delivers their food. A play of baked ziti and a plate of Chicken Parm.
SH: And you see my point. If you think out the matches more, you'll have more victories and will be at the top faster.
JT: Yeah, I see your point, but thinking in terms of a stratgey will not help when I'm facing two unpredictable wrestlers. One that thinks he is all that and one that thinks he is in league with dark powers, maybe.
SH: And how different is that then how it's been previously?
A period of slience, and start to eat there food.
SH: Ok, the situation changes at a whim. So you need to think out a strategy as the situation changes...
JT: What's the point of having a stratgey when the situation changes at a moments notice? I can't. I'll have to do what I can when there's a new situation. I have too many things to worry about tonight, anyway.
SH: True, ture. So, worry about what you need to worry, and I wish you the best of luck.
JT: So how about them Nets, eh?
SH: They gave those Bucks a thrashing of there lives. That's my team for ya.
JT: Sean, your a Knicks fan, I'm the Nets fan. Have you decided to jump ship?
SH: First off Mr. High and Mighty. I'm from the same area you are, so when one of the Tri State teams does well, I'm cheering for them.
JT: You know that's total bullshit.
SH: Prove different.
JT: Ok. When the Devils took on the Islanders, you cheered for hte Islanders. When the Islanders took on the Rangers, you cheered for the Rangers. And when the Rangers faced the Devils, you cheered for the Devils. Sense the pattern?
SH: I cheer when the situation changes.
JT: Your a band wagon fan and you know it, because I just proved it.
SH: Ok, I'm outta here. Good luck tonight, John, cause you are going to need it. And damnit, I'm not a band wagon fan!
Huntin stands up and walks away, leaving Taylor by himself.
JT: Band wagon fan, always has, always will be. Jerk. Well, time to prepare for my match tonight. I do need the best of luck for tonight...
Taylor stands up and leaves some money on the table and walks away. He walks towards his locker room when MC stops him.
MC: John, can I have a word with you about tonights match?
JT: No, cause I'm going to be brief. I'm going to go out there, prove that Mystic's win was a fluke, especially when he used that chair, and beat these two wannabe's and show the world that I am not going to let a loss on Tuesday stop me from getting back to the top, where I belong.
Taylor walks in his locker room and shuts the door on MC's face. As he walks in and sees a bouqet of flowers and a card. He reads the card.
JT: Meet me tonight outside the arena. Allison. Heh, guess I will then.
Scene fades.
