Scene first begins at Huntin's Dojo in Chicago. We see Allison Kempt holding a large trophy, and a crowd of people gathered around her.
AK: I didn't think I could win. They were all so very tough.
Sean Huntin then appears on the screen.
SH: They were, but you were tougher. You earned this, Allison, so don't let anybody else take this away from you.
AK: I'm just wondering, where was John?
SH: He said he needed to do something so he couldn't make it. But he did ask us to come to the arena tonight.
The group breaks apart, leaving Allison to herself.
AK: I hope he remembers the note.
The scene shifts to an event that happened over the weekend. We appear to be in a cemetary. We then notice somebody over a grave holding a couple of roses, dressed in black. Upon further inspection we find that it's John Taylor. We get a few of the grave and see that it says "Rei Taylor" on it.
JT: Hello there. I know I said I would try to release my past, but I just started to think about you and I needed to see you again. It's been so long since your death, and it still pains me about how there was nothing I can do to help you.
Lately, in my life, I have been in a sense of confusion. My feelings have been very mixed as of late. There has been someone else as of late, but I haven't told her how I feel, not yet anyway. I just want to know it's true and not make the same mistakes as before in my life. Maybe a love life isn't what I need this time. Maybe it's time to concentrate on my life itself.
I just wanted to see you again, and think of all the really good times that we have, and how I missed you.
Taylor puts the flowers on the tombstone and walks away, right to an awaiting car, where Sean Huntin is leaning against of.
SH: You ok there, bud?
JT: I could be better, actually.
SH: To be quite honest, this isn't exactly what you need. With a triple threat match coming up, you should be training for that.
JT: There's always more than the match, Sean.
SH: If you want to be back at the top, you got to think the top. Train always for the top and never look back. That's what the top ones do.
JT: But for them, this is there life. But I'm not dedicated completely to wrestling, but to my martial arts. You know that.
SH: Look, John, think of it this way. This Friday you have a chance to become the World Champion again. Do you want to be the person who won that title or the man who came so close to it?
JT: You know the answer to that.
SH: Then use this match as a chance to warm up. Your facing against two competitors, so use it as a warm up of sorts. These two should be nothing for you, anyway. So give them hell, ok?
Taylor remains slient and gets in the car. Huntin just shrugs and gets in as well.
JT: Maybe you are right...
SH: That's my boy.
The car drives away as the scene fades.
