Subject: Launch night

I agree with the above member's views that the launch night of the BBC was a great event, particularly due to the talent and enthusiasm of 'Blues Infusion'. (Dave and Lee i hadn't realised you were both so talented!)

Although the venue was a bit like a sardine tin once everyone squeezed in, it was all the better to look around the room and see the nodding heads and tapping feet that indicated most of the new members were appreciating the music (and quite possibly the beer as well). The age range attending demonstrated that music is something that can bring people with seemingly little in common together. A friendly atmosphere was evident throughout the night, something that can be a little bit hard to find in lisenced premises on a saturday night.

I must take issue with the above comment, 'People even started dancing in a fairly paralytic way for the last few numbers, by which time most were well oiled'. As the first person on the dance floor i take umbrage to the criticism of my dance skills and the aspersion cast on my sobriety, when all i had to drink was Diet Coke. Not really. I love to dance and would have done so sooner, had the room been not quite so brightly lit.

Anyway, thanks to the BBC for finding me something different to do on a Saturday night.

Lil
