Does anyone know about the peladeau family listed on the half breeds list. I am an ancester of Moses Peladeau and in our family a story has been handed down that a man named Peladeau in a military capacity came to the new France (In Canada) I believe, and after his service was over he sent for his wife and four children from France. Shortly after her arrival she died. Then he took a native woman to be his wife and she is who we a descended. I have seen in Wisconsin that there was a Dominic Peladeau, but not sure if related. Moses Peladeau was born around 1836 in Quebec, Canada and married Mary Ann Landers. They had a few children I could find. Marie Elizabeth Prudence born 1856, who married Louis Jalbert, James Peladeau born 1864, John Peladeau born 1869, Anne Peladeau born 1856, Mary Ann Peladeau born 1859, married Steven Drake, and Maggie Peladeau born 1870.
