I have found a number of sites, etc., which purport to give the particulars of the life of Chief Pacanne/Pacan of the Miamis. But I am still a little confused regarding his parents and his actual relationship to other Miamis, such as Litle Turtle, Tacumwah, and Cold Foot(aka La Pied Froid). In one case, Pacan is called the brother-in-law of Cold Foot and in another, he is Cold Foot's son-in-law???

Same goes for Tacumwah and Little Turtle....in once case, Pacan is referred to as a full brother to Tacumwah and only a half-brother in another. Little Turtle appears in one place as a nephew but it is unclear what their relationship is in the next place I look.

Might anyone be able to sort this out for me??? The one book that I have on the Miami does not clarify this matter. I know that the Miami did not, in the 18th Century and before, have way of designating "cousins", and that family relationships were construed very broadly, but I had hoped that perhaps someone here might be able to advise me as to the answer or at least refer me to a reliable source.
Thanks and regards,
