My great-great-grandmother Henrietta Rosalie Forcier Bergevain is listed in the Oconto, Oconto Co, WI 1880 census as I (for Indian?) in the color column. Her father, Vincent Forcier is listed in the 1849 List of Mixed Blook of the Menominee Indian Nation (found on the Oconto county genweb site). No wife or child is listed. Vincent was born in Quebec, Canada on 14 April 1822. The Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS)lists a marriage between Vincent Forcier and Henrietta Godfrey or Harriet Bernardo on 10 January 1841. I received a copy of Rosalie's birth record from WHS. Rosalie was born on 14 December 1841 to Vincent Forcier and Henrietta (no surname given). How would I find Rosalie's mother's maiden name and confirm that she was a member of the Menominee Indian Nation?
