You will need to provide some dates and places of births marriages and deaths so that we can help. If your earliest ancestor in this Indian line was born after 1930, you will need to obtain that person's death certificate from the state where he or she died. That will give the parents' names. Then, find the couple in the 1930 US census. That will give you a foothold in records which can take you back to, at least, 1850. There are tutorials on how to do genealogy inline at http://www.familysearch.org and you can get free help at your local LDS Family History Center.
