Researching great grandfather, Smith Burr married to adelaide Delaunnis. Found my Grandfather in Vancouver BC. However my father claimed before his death that he was 1/4 Indian. I have found trace of some back in 1821. But I firmly believe that it has to be closer then that, as my looks and my siblings are of either French/Indian Descent. My Grandfather Name was Joseph mantivilee burr. he was listed as a 1/2 breed in a census taken. But that is all it says about it. I know He was born in Canada. Any help would be wonderful. Additional names found associated are Archanbault, Woodwortht, Smith, Quatanna, Whitener, McKay, Liebert, Kwothe & Schookpie.
