 I believe my grandmother was taken from the Kootenai tribe between 1903 and 1909 as an infant and raised by a German couple in Portland.
her name was Minnie Beckel and theirs were John Jacob and Catherine Beckel. If anyone could give me some insite in proving or researching this I would greatly appreciate it.
