 I am trying to help a dear cousin trace his ancestry. His father was Leonard Gilbert Moore and, supposedly, he was one half Blackfoot. He was born in the Dakotas (not sure which one) c.1895. The family has photographs of him taken at what appears to be a school for Native American children. They all appear to be Native Americans and the teachers are all white. We are just starting this research because my cousin wants to be able to pass this information along to his children and grandchildren. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any clue as to where to start. Thank you for your time.
