 I was told my whole life that my great grandfather was an Indian chief. Recently I started to inquire about this. I don't believe that an Indian would have the name William Jasper Puckett and his father was Richard Puckett. I was just wondering if there was ever any Pucketts in the Cherokee Nation. If so, I would be willing to pay for what ever material was available. But at this point, I believe that all of this is folklore.
