A dissaster could be that a customer of it fell down the stairs and has to be taken to the hospital emmidiately, or that mesteriousely his room has been robed and that in order to have the hotels security go and serch for it they need to pay and extra fee...or someone broke and expensive statue and the only way to pay it back would be to become the hotels slave, a surprise can be that lets say some person ha just come in to get a room and there are no rooms so you grant them a months free stay when there is some room, or that the next person who wants to stay will be the houndredth customer and wil get a gift of all you can eat and drink till they leave...etc
