she thinks of the first vampire, Yaksha, the one who turned her, and she thinks bitterly of how she had loved it, loved it more than any physical love a mortal could have given her. she closes her blue eyes to blot out the memory, of how her heartbeat had accelerated rapidly, then stopped as she had laguhed her wicked plaesure and embraced the son of the devil....
