Clones and stock class flatheads. Both classes run 375. Open clutch and open tire rule. Clones can run pump gas or track racing fuel. i'm working on a set of rules for the class. we all (the karters) watch for runaway karts and there are enough to know when someone is "bending" the rules too far away!! We just want to have fun. a few rules that i'm working are easy...any header (muffler not reqiuired), low side jets no bigger than .26, high side no bigger than .40, 1.3:1 rockers allowed, stock piston and rod, stock flywheel (doesn't have to be the machined one, but recommended), must have cranker on it, any fuel pump, open clutch (a lot of us are running 18,19 or 20), open rear gear (anywhere from 58 to 64), any tires...driver must wear all the usual stuff...if you send me your e-mail address, i'll send the rules that i've developed to you along with the rules that the track has implemented for the karts (michael.coonfield@robins.af.mil)...i have been told that the flatheads are by WKA rules. I run a clone, so I'm not real familiar with them.

The track doesn't have a payout for the karts yet as we are still in the beginning stages of putting everything together. Racing is for trophies only, but we have a blast!! All karts run int he heat races and in the feature. We don't seperate the class.....also, VERY IMPORTANT....we run BELOW the second white line on the track (about that is like hitting the wall and you will be DQ'ed), and absolutely NO CONTACT. No rubbing, bumping, banging....not of it!! Track says that bump drafting is NOT ALLOWED WHATSOEVER!...this is a safety thing because of the speeds we run and the fact that you can do it wrong and turn a kart into the wall too easy.....

Hope this helps and I hope that we'll see you at the 'melon real soon!!
