Subject: Karts on June 16th

The first step in problem solving is recognizing that a problem exists. I've been hearing that without a set of rules to go by and a way to check; that several karts are running....shall we say....a little lighter than what has been posted. I will be working with the track officials to see if we can't check the karts this next race to make sure that at least the weight is right. To be fair to all, and because i've been unofficially tagged as a the kart ringleader, i'm asking that the weight be LOWERED to 350 lbs....that's KART AND DRIVER AS THEY COME OFF THE TRACK AFTER THE FEATURE. I'll work with the track and the tech shed to use the track scales to get the weights checked. I will ask that the track determine who will be teched prior to the start of the feature...you might win and be checked, but you might also be fifth and get checked...

I only think it's fair. I know that my fat rear is over the 350 mark, but i want everyone to know that we will be racing legal like and that will also include following the engine rules once I get them approved by track management. I'm working on splitting the class (if we get enough karts to run two classes) into Stock and Stock Appearing. Get them right folks. that's all i can ask for...i'm not going to do the teching or have any involvement in the teching. but if the track determines that someone is illegal, then the track is going to be responsible for the punishment. and this includes me being teched too...

I want so bad for the karts to be successful at WCS because i don't want to race anywhere else, but we can't be a successful class unless rules are followed...
