Subject: Riverside Canyon [needs members]

The Earthquake subsiding, devastation was all that remained in the lands of Riverside Canyon. The once flourishing terrains now stood empty, their residents swept away with the earthquake. The second quake in the history of these lands left a much larger trail of devastation than the first. The lives that everyone was rebuilding came tumbling down, leaving almost none in her wake. For some particular reason, many of the elders survived while the fresh youth passed... but perhaps there was reason behind this madness. How would a world so shattered and broken carry on without the past there to help rebuild? Maybe it was fate or destiny that those elders were supposed to survive, to help the crumbles of Riverside. They are always there to offer their stories of youth and give advice to those in trouble.



The lands of Riverside were divided into four distinct realms by the earthquake, the landscape forever changed. The high reaches of Riverside were one such realm. The heartless wind that blows across these forms tests even the hardiest; letting all know that here Air had its stake. Another realm remained almost untouched by the earthquake, the green grasses and shifting forests a testament to the hardiness of the earth in which it would soon be named in the days to come. The beaches and swamps of Riverside became the third realm. No longer the safe havens they once were, water ruled here now; its power taking those unwary of its depths. Thus the realm of Water was named. The last was a land ravaged by fire, molten lava and desert heat. What was left of the riddled lands was little more than a burnt wasteland. Indeed it was and in the days to come it would take on the name of Fire. For in this realm Fire ruled.



But with only the elders left, how would they govern the equines that would soon come to live here once more? The answer came in four young equines that came only too soon, wanting to promote themselves. The first of the four was Ever Dream, a particularly heighty femme, who knew freedom and liberties. She claimed the mighty mountains, where she acts as Guardian over the Air. The second was a lone stallion by the name of Desperado. He found himself aligned with the fire, for in his soul burned a passion that could not be touched. For like this stubborn, outspoken land he would forever remain unchanged. . A third equine, by the name of Namistai, lay claim over the earth, for he was calm and neutral, much like the earth itself. He is always there to offer protection to those souls passing by. The last, Varun, seemingly brought from the waters themselves, for he is much like a mystery of the black depths. He laid claim over the Water, A kind soul whose mood changed with the tides that ruled his world.



Thus chosen he quickly moved to rejoin the land. He hoped that even such a traumatic event could be prevailed over. The less fortunate had few to mourn their loss, as most perished in this great tragedy. The few that did survive can be found in the land of Tonquin Valley, a land much changed from its previous form.



Although a few equines have managed to escape the devastation, the world of Riverside Canyon seems very new once more, ready to open her arms to a new and different crowd than that which once past. The boundaries had been remade, lands changed forever. But life would go on in the Canyon as it had for many years.
