For the second time in his career, University of South Florida junior guard Mike Mercer has a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season.

Mercer, who transferred from Georgia, injured his knee Sunday against Wright State in the San Juan Shootout. He averaged 8.5 points in the four games he played after becoming eligible earlier this month.

Mercer also tore his right ACL on Feb. 10, 2007, while at Georgia.
