I removed several comments I felt might be offensive and one entire thread that just doesn't belong on this forum. Mod Princess feel free to add your editing also if I may have missed any obscene or offensive comments. Some opinions will remain because they are opinions and not bashing in my view. What the new rule means is: if you do not win a USA city/preliminary pageant, you can not use the word 'Miss" or 'USA' in your 'at-large' title when you go to state. This will prevent at-large contestants from buying an "Official" sash and wearing it at events, giving the impression that they actually won a prelim pageant when they didn't. Sounds like a good idea. (NT) -- In other words, you cannot use 'Miss' or 'USA' unless you actually earned it by winning a USA Pageant. Makes sense to me., Wed - 08.09.06 / 11:30pm
Disagree here. The at large fee to TX USA alone is over $1,000. If I am a contestant trying to raise sponsorship and I am making appearances promoting the USA pageant, my banner should reflect that. How else are they to recruit support, do charity events or anything else if they are not pulling somewhat off the recognition of the USA name? Subject: I think it is hilarious how no one is saying anything about this pageant. Only a few on the other board are saying good things. It is cracking me up that no one is discussing the "NO crown issue" and the Chelsea didn't show up issue

The girls will get their crowns and who cares if C didn't show up? She is no longer the teen queen and we can move on. No one at the pageant cared that the Crowns were delayed, and the winners are more than happy to be the new queens. None of the contestants have posted any displeasure about the issue...and unless you were THERE (which I doubt) you would know what they all said when it was announced and that no one cared. It's called understanding and I feel the ladies handled it beautifully. The queens did receive their crowns the following morning at the awards ceremony. I feel no one is saying anything harse because there is anything bad to say. All that I have spoken with had a great experience, what is it necessary to try and bring Maria or the pageant down. I think Maria did a fine job and has every reason to be proud of what she has accomplished. The nah sayers have been proven wrong. It's time to let it go. Will be back, Maria directs an awsome pageant and all the ladies were so supportive of each other, When you have such a good time doing a pageant it doesn't matter what place you come in. Great job Maria and Jill and all the staff and contestants. Hope to see all of you again.
