In reference to my occassional posting on a prior thread, I post whenever there is something worthy to say. This year, my team sucks = no posts.

However, with regard to last night's game and Little D, there is a lot to say. Still miss him. Miss his enthusiasm. Miss his conviction. Miss his laugh. Always miss his coo. And sometimes even miss his temper (when not directed at me). But mostly miss a critical member of "the old gang." Hasn't been the same since he passed and never will again, and I know we all feel that.

While we are fortunate to not have lost more from the early Brat House days (and much earlier for you neighborhood boys), we were all still unfortunate to have lost such a strong, spirited man at a rediculously young age. We all lost. Sometimes the years make things easier, sometimes the passing years make things more unfair.

Last night's Vikes party was a hell of a bash for all Vikes fans -- my guess is Little D had his feet propped up in a big cushy cloud, while passing a giant hooka among fellow horn-blowing, purple wearing, Viking fans all regoicing in the second-coming of their 40 year old savior.

Congrats Vikes fans. When a team can run the ball like they do, stop the ball like they do, and pass the ball like they do now -- you are looking at a potential champion. As a lifelong bears fan, I shudder to think of what it's going to take to beat 'em.

To Bill, cheers and go Vikes!
