Subject: My Lucy

I am a 35 year old male. I got my first cat when I was about 22. Her name is Lucy, and I adopted her from a veterinary clinic. She will always be my most special cat. I'm not ashamed to say that I love Lucy with all my heart. She has always been a "touchy" cat. She doesnt like to be picked up. I started making a point of picking her up and holding her more over the past couple of years. She has gotten a little more used to it. I have alot of stupid nicknames for her: Lucy Lou, Lucyfer, Lucy in the sky with diamonds, etc. When I first got her, I would tell her that I love her "oh so much!!". --because of that I started calling her my "oh so kitty". I still call her that, just to be funny. Lucy helped me get through some tough times a little easier. I had problems with cancer, and I believe having her relieved alot of the stress off of me. Shes not a young kitty anymore. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I dread the day when I lose her. I sometimes wonder how I will go on without her. I know life will go on, but I will miss her. Everybody that loves an animal must feel that way. She is a part of me. I love my Lucy Lou.
