Subject: Blue Gouramis very territorial

I'm having the same problem...my gouramis are really territorial. I had 2 gouramis that were fine together, but when i added another smaller gourami, things started to get weird. I believe the 2 i had earlier were male and female. I don't really know how to tell them apart except one had a huge belly. I can't distinguish gouramis by it's fins. But the small one started to attack the others. 2 of them are picking on one gourami. I seperated the weak one, and now the 2 aggressive ones are picking on each other...they turn the same deep blue color. I don't know if they are both the same sex or not. When they attack each other...it seems as if they are kissing, and they both flare up. How do we solve this?
