Subject: Guppy tail turned black and is shredding...help!

I bought a new guppy a few days ago and the second day after the new fish was introduced, it died. I noticed its tail was shredded. Several guppy babies I had in the same tank died the same day. Now the other adult male I've had for months is dying. His tail turned black and is shredding. Almost half of the tail has shredded away. What is this and what do I need to do to save the two remaining guppy babies I have left? Please help! I'm desperate!
