I've been doing a little research because of my platties. It depends on what type a fish you are raising. For Angelfish, you want a ph level of around 6.8. For Platties and Mollies, you need a level of around 7.2-7.4. Because Angelfish are more sensitive, a pet store employee (who seemed to know a lot about fish) said that I should keep it around 6.9. If you have a lot of community fish, it's probably better to keep it around 7.0. They'll be more happy. But, if you decide for your fish to have little babies, you'll need it more acidic.
