I'm guessing your 4 were young and small and now have grown larger? I can't find information on mollie genetics but the first brood mine had were %75 dalmation/marble %25 black. As the dalmations are reaching about 6 weeks of age they are filling in with black. Both parents appeared to be black mollies but I've since noticed a slightly lighter patch on the belly of the female. The second brood from this pair had about the same ratio of dalmations/blacks. I expect the dalmations will darken as they age as well. None of the dalmations from the first brood have remained grey/white. They have all darkened considerably. However, many still have large patches of light grey and black marbling.

It is obvious that at least one of my mollies (the female) is not 100% black mollie (if there is such a thing) but I suspect neither are full black. I'd be willing to bet the babies (fry) that were completely black since birth are full black and if mated together would always produce %100 full black babies.
