No, by all means don't use a vacuum cleaner. The suction is way too much for a fish to handle. A straw will work just fine. I'd suggest using the vacuum on yourslef, though. If that doesn't have enough suction power to get the air out try using an industrial strength vacuum. That's sure to do it. By the way sucking on an egg won't give me as much satisfaction as harrassing you with petty irritations.
