Subject: Mistery Guppy Disease

Shortly after giving birth, my 2 female guppies developed whitish growths in their anal areas. At the time it hadn't affected thier appetites and they appeared to be acting normally. About a month later they both died. Their fry are now about 7 weeks old and I have noticed that quite a few of the fry have now developed the same type of growth near thier anal areas. They do not seem to be exhibiting any other signs of stress. They are eating well and are very active. I am assuming that this is some sort of pathogen but I have not been able to find anything that resembles this in books or on web pages. Any ideas?
